McCormick, Clapp engagement

Leesa McCormick and Marcus Clapp, both of Scottsdale, Ariz., announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.

Parents of the couple are Vicki and Chris Norman of Bakersfield, Calif., Steve McCormick of Bakersfield and Jim and Kristi Clapp of McCook.

Grandparents of the prospective bridegroom are Darlene Korf and LaVonne Clapp, both of McCook.

The bride-to-be, originally from Bakersfield, now lives in Scottsdale. She is a hair stylist at The Loft on Shea.

The prospective bridegroom is originally from McCook and also lives in Scottsdale where he is the pitching coach for the Scottsdale Community College.

An Aug. 30, 2008, ceremony is planned in Omaha.
