Dorothy Irene Bryan

Dorothy Irene Bryan, age 88. died Wednesday, July 16, 2008, at Decatur County Good Samaritan Home in Oberlin, Kan.

On April 5, 1920, Dorothy was born in Oxford to Gilbert LeRoy and Sybil Irene (Thomas) Loper. She graduated from McCook High School in 1938.

On Feb. 6, 1943, Raymond H. Bryan and Dorothy were married in Norman, Okla. They had three children, Raymond, Carol and E. Marie.

Dorothy was a member of St. Alban's Episcopal Church in McCook. She enjoyed family, music, fishing and flowers.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Raymond in 1992; two brothers, Gilbert and Keith and a sister, Bernice.

Survivors include her son, Raymond Bryan and wife, Jean of Summerville, S.C.; daughters, Carol Barrett and husband, John of Oberlin, Kan., and E. Marie Sutton and husband, Paul of McCook; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Carpenter Breland Funeral Chapel in McCook with Pastor Mike Larson officiating. Burial will be in the McCook Riverview Cemetery.
