Jukich named Southern League All-Star Game's top pitcher

ZEBULON, N.C. -- Chattanooga Lookout pitchers Ben Jukich and Robert Manuel and third baseman Eric Eymann were on the north division roster for Monday night's Southern League All-Star Game in Zebulon, N.C.

The North All-Stars won 6-1.

Jukich, who pitched at McCook Community College in 2005, started the game and pitched a perfect first inning.

He retired the side on just six pitches and was named the game's outstanding pitcher.

The 6-foot-5 left-hander is 8-4 with a 3.57 ERA for the Lookouts, the Class AA affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds.

He leads the Lookouts with 92 strikeouts in 116 innings.

Manuel pitched the sixth inning, gave up no runs, a walk and a strikeout.

At the plate, Eymann, also a starter, was 0-for-4.
