Bates, Putz engagement

Bethany Bates and Paul Putz of McCook announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.

Parents of the couple are Clark and Dawna Bates and Rob and Cherri Putz, all of McCook.

The bride-to-be is currently completing her Master's degree in community counseling at the University of Nebraska at Kearney and will complete internship in Omaha.

The prospective bridegroom is completing a degree in Secondary Education with an endorsement in history at Grace University in Omaha.

An Aug. 2, 2008, ceremony is planned at the McCook Christian Church.
