ARAPAHOE -- M. Donna Mollring, 81, of Holbrook, died Tuesday (July 9, 2008) at Cambridge Memorial Hospital.

She was born July 2, 1927, at Oxford to W.H. and Edith M. (Coe) Quinn. She attended and graduated from Oxford High School in 1945. He worked for Bell Telephone Company in Oxford for several years.

On July 24, 1948, she married Gerald G. "Gandhi" Mollring at Bartley. They lived in McCook for a short time, and then moved to Holbrook, where they established the Mollring Insurance Agency which they owned and operated for 37 years.

She also worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Holbrook for 27 years and retired in July of 1987. Her husband died on June 27, 1999.

She was a member of the Holbrook Methodist Church and later transferred membership to the First United Methodist Church in Arapahoe. She was also member of the Holbrook Women's Club for more than 50 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother, James T. Quinn.

Survivors include her sister, Dorothy M. Garrison of Alma and five nieces and nephews.

Burial will be before the services on Friday at 9:30 a.m., at the Holbrook Cemetery. Celebration of Life will follow at at 10:30 a.m., at First United Methodist Church of Arapahoe with the Rev. Michael Flury officiating.
