Along with the film, the Jayhawk has planned several other activities. Mr. Goodrich, will present a commentary on the film at the Aberdeen Steak House on Friday, at 8 p.m. A Freewill donation will be accepted. After the 3 p.m. showing, all attendees are invited to a "Meet and Greet" the Lone Chimney Film crew at the Aberdeen Steak House. Lone Chimney Films Inc. is a not-for-profit company dedicated to preserving and promoting the history of Kansas and the Midwest through documentary film. Lone Chimney's first feature-length documentary, Touched by Fire: Bleeding Kansas, 1854-1861, was released in 2005 and aired on Wichita, Salina, and Topeka PBS affiliates. my family member was major leroy j beam who lost 17 of his 22 recrutes who was encamped just in side of lawerence when the massacre took place major beam left the day before to get guns and supplies for his recrutes. when he was awayes out he saw the smoke from town and just thought it was a grass fire. he was major of the 15th kansas calvery
