Gordon, Ricley wedding

COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa -- Nicole Gordon of Treynor, Iowa and Brett Ricley of McCook were united in marriage on June 7, 2008, at First Christian Church in Council Bluffs, Iowa, with Don Gordon officiating.

Parents of the couple are Todd and Deb Gordon of Treynor and Paul and Linnea Ricley of McCook.

Aanna Blacker of Lamar, Colo., was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Abby Gordon, sister of the bride of Treynor, Alyssa Meyer , Laura Skillstad and Jennifer Schwarz, all of Papillion and Sarah Earleywine of Broadhead, Wisc.

Aaron Nix of McCook, served as best man. Bridegroomsmen were Mike Garretson of McCook, Brady Erickson,Jordan Jech and Jeff Peters, all of Papillion and Phil Welsh of Grand Island.

Kara Roland of Omaha was the flower girl and Blake Roland, also of Omaha, was the ring bearer. Candlelighters were Alicia Ricley, sister of the bridegroom, of McCook and Kristin Schuler, cousin of the bride, of Atlantic, Iowa.

Ushers were Joel Putz of McCook, Drew Meyer and Jared Landt, both of Papillion and A.J. Gordon, brother of bride, of Treynor. Mike Garretson and Aanna Blacker were the soloists.

A reception was in Carson, Iowa. Guest book attendents were Nikita Cly and Lauren Barr of Papillion. Rod and Michelle Schuler of Atlantic, Iowa were the host couple.

The bride is finishing up a four year degree in Family Life and Counseling at Nebraska Christian College in Papillion. She will graduate next May. She is working this summer as an intern at Kingsway Christian Church and plans on working alongside the AAA Crisis Pregnancy Center in Omaha.

The bridegroom is also finishing up his four year degree in Youth Ministry and will graduate in May 2010. He works at Kingsway Christian Church as the full-time Children's Minister and plans to be in Omaha for a while.

After a honeymoon in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., the couple is making their home in Papillion.
