OBERLIN -- Fern O. Anderson, 91, died Wednesday (June 25, 2008) at Decatur County Good Samaritan Center.

She was born June 30, 1916, in Colorado to Ernest and Mary (Yingling) O'Hare. She grew up in the Lyle Community in Decatur County.

She married Fred Zweigle on May 31, 1933 in Lyle.

On Dec. 3, 1960, she married George Anderson in Norcatur, Kan. She lived in Norcatur before moving to Clayton, Kan., where she operated a grocery store, helped at the school and drove a school bus. She later moved to Oberlin.

She was a member of the Clayton United Methodist Church and Royal Neighbors.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Fred Zweigle and George Anderson; stepson, Faye Anderson; brother, Ralph O'Hare; and grandchildren, Jason Anderson, and Stephanie and Rye Lippelmann.

Survivors include her son, Charles Zweigle of Silver City, N.M.; step-son, Jay and wife, Judy Anderson of New Amsterdam, N.Y.; daughters, Glenda and husband, Richard Tyrell of Norton, Kan., Vickie and husband, Dan Lippelmann of Oberlin; Vonda and husband, Dave Alexander of Frederick, Okla., and Gay and husband, Jeff Anders of Des Moines, Iowa; stepdaughter, Kaye Smiley of Maryland; brother, Elton O'Hare of Oberlin; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday, 2:30 p.m., at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin. Interment will be in the Norcatur Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday, 8 a.m.- 8 p.m., and Saturday, 8 a.m., until time of service at the funeral home.

Memorials may be given to Decatur County Good Samaritan Center.
