CAMBRIDGE -- Kathleen went to join her Savior on June 10, 2008, at Mary Lanning Hospital in Hastings, Neb., at the age of 58.

Kathi was born June 15, 1949, to Roy and Opal (Bathrick) Johnson and was baptized in the Trinity United Methodist Church in Cambridge. She graduated from Cambridge High School in 1967, and attended McCook College where she met Rodney Alberts of McCook.

They were married in August of 1969, and to this union two sons were born, Brandon and S. Trevor.

Kathi graduated from McCook College in 1969 and Peru State College in 1971, with a degree in Elementary Education.

Kathi was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Opal Johnson.

She leaves to mourn her death two sons, Brandon Alberts of North Platte and S. Trevor and wife, Kimberly Alberts of Gering; one granddaughter; four sisters, Janet and husband, Clyde Johnson of Lincoln, Carole Moore of Dedham, Mass., Virginia and husband, Dave Lenzen of Smithfield, Neb. Diane and Michael Nevins of Jackson, Mich.; three brothers, Richard and wife, Zenith Johnson, Ronald Johnson and Howard and wife, Betty Johnson, all of Cambridge; nephew, Kevin and wife, Manila Johnson, Ken Johnson and Shawn Johnson; nieces, Kelley and husband, Bert Kraiimoore, Kerry and husband, Christopher O'Leary, Shelley Johnson and Michelle Groves; and seven great-nephews, three great-nieces, along with a host of friends and family.

A private service will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given in her name to Butler Memorial Library in Cambridge.
