LINCOLN -- James Lee Stewart, 69, of Lincoln, died Wednesday (May 21, 2008).
He was born Nov. 8, 1938, to Arthur and Nell (Hayes) Stewart. He attended SCC studying Building Construction and was employed as a cabinet maker. He later taught school at Lincoln Public Schools and at the University of Nebraska in the art department.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Gregory and two sisters, Helen and Norma.
Survivors include his wife, Lynda of Lincoln; daughters, Cynthia and husband, Matthew Forkner of Spring, Texas and Jill and husband, Tom Tetrick of Hickman; brother, William and wife, Bettye Stewart of McCook; sisters, Phyllis Myers of Palisade, Ardeth Hopper of Huntsville, Ark., and Janet McKillip of Hayes Center; seven grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be Saturday, 11:30 a.m., at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S 14th Street in Lincoln.
Visitation is today until 8 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m., until time of service at the funeral home.
