Corrections/state track/NSAA All Academic Team

There were a few items in the McCook Daily Gazette sports section from the past few days that needed correcting.

* In the team picture of the McCook girls track team that ran on Tuesday, May 20, Kali Lyons was between between Whitney Korgan and Joanna Bryant.

* In the same photo, McCook High School assistant track coach Kristin Blume was misidentified as Lori Jumps, who is not a track coach.

* In the article for the NSAA All Academic Team, McCook High School's Cassie Olson was omitted as being named for journalism.

* Stan Wudtke was misidentified in the cutline for the photo of him hugging Maywood double gold medalist Ryan Hazen.

Wudtke is the retired Maywood coach. The current head track coach at Maywood is Thompson Herman.

* There have been a couple photo cutlines where people have been misidentified as being on the left when they should have been on the right and vice versa.

The Gazette sports department regrets the mistakes.
