Melissa Godfrey of North Platte and Cody Monzon of Blair announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.

Parents of the couple are Craig and Kathy Godfrey of North Platte and Scott and Terri Monzon of Blair.

The prospective bridegroom's grandparents are Bonnie Monzon of McCook and the late Pete Monzon.

The bride-to-be is a senior at University of Nebraska at Kearney pursuing an elementary education degree. She is employed at Hobby Lobby in Kearney.

The prospective bridegroom graduated from McCook Community College in 2007, with an Associates Degree in Welding and Machine Shop Technology

He is employed in Minden at Grayson Tool Company as a CNC Machinist.

An Aug. Aug. 8, 2008, ceremony is planned at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in McCook.
