BENKELMAN -- Gordon Bradley Towne, 78, of Benkleman died Friday (May 9, 2008), at Dundy County Hospital.
He was born in Vinton, Iowa on Dec. 22, 1929, to Paul McBain and Thurla Gretchen (Healy) Towne He served in the U.S. Air Force from Nov. 24, 1950, to Nov. 23, 1954.
He married Kathryn Ann Berger in Northglenn, Colo., on Nov. 17, 1967. He was the pastor of an interdenominational church in the Denver area where he was the pastor for four years prior to moving to Benkleman.
Survivors include his wife, Kathryn; children, Duane Towne of Denver, Colo., Bradley Towne of Salem Ore., Andria Towne and Cynthia Towne, both of East Point Ga., and Philip Towne of Littleton, Colo.; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Damon Towne; and a brother, Stanley Towne.
A memorial service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m., at Faith Bible Chapel West in Edgewater, Colo., (2098 Pierce St., 80214, 303-238-4475.) Inurnment will be in Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver.
Memorials may be given in his name.
