CURTIS -- Several Southwest Nebraska high school golf teams competed in the Cattle Trail Golf Tournament Tuesday in Curtis at Arrowhead Meadows golf course.

Medicine Valley High School won the tournament with four golfers finishing in the top 15.

Jeff Gleisberg took fourth in the individual standings with a score of 87 and Trey Hildebrandt took seventh with a 92. Tommy Schroeder rounded out the top ten with a 97 and Nolan Hammond followed in 12th with a 97.

Southwest took second in the tournament. Ryan Timmerman led the Roughriders with a sixth place finish and a score of 87. Kyle Teel followed in eight with a 94 and Justin Malleck was ninth with 95. Teammate Robert Blume took 14th with a 98.

Hitchcock County took third and Cambridge JV was fourth. Zyle Nelson led the Falcons in third place with an 85 and Justin Heffner was fifth with an 87.

Cambridge's Jackson Johnson and Eustis-Farnam's Josh Transmeier battled it out for the first place medal. Both boys posted an 83 with Transmeier taking the number one spot and Johnson following in second.

Logan Baker took 13th for Cambridge with a 98 and Ron Stoddard was 98.

Dundy County- Stratton golfers took fifth, Arapahoe was sixth and Eustis-Farnam was seventh. Maywood followed in eighth and Hayes Center was ninth.

Grant Williamson took home a varsity medal for Arapahoe. Williamson fired a 97.
