Kristy Focken of Kearney and Brandon Crawford of Indianola announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.

Parents of the couple are Jerry and Peggy Focken of Springview and Wayne and Carleen Crawford of Cambridge.

The bride-to-be received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from University of Nebraska Medical Center at Kearney in 2002. She is a registered nurse at Kearney County Hospital in Minden.

The prospective bridegroom attended MidPlains Community College in North Platte and Studied Automotive Technology. He is employed with Southwest Public Schools in Bartley as a mechanic and groundskeeper.

The couple is planning a June 7, 2008, wedding ceremony at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Ainsworth.
