Holly Lorraine McKibben and Ryan Donald Shield, both of Chadron, announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.

Parents of the couple are Ann and Bruce McKibben of Broadwater, Jane Shield of McCook and Roger Shield of Hickory, N.C.

The bride-to-be is a 2001 graduate of Bridgeport High School and a 2007 graduate of Chadron State College with a Bachelor of Psychology degree. She works at the Dawes County Clerk's office.

The prospective bride groom is 2000 graduate of McCook Senior High and a 2002 graduate of McCook Community College and is attending Chadron State College pursuing an accounting degree. He is an automotive department manager at WalMart in Chadron.

A wedding is planned for Saturday, June 21, 2008, at Wilson Park in Chadron.
