LEVANT, Kan. -- Marty R. Crampton, 43, died Sunday (April 6, 2008) in rural Thomas County, Kan.
He was born Sept. 23, 1964, in Cambridge to Kenneth and Kathleen Crampton. He had lived in Colby, Kan., area since 1973. He worked as a farmer.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Kansas Corngrowers, Thomas County Fairboard, Leadership Thomas County, Trap Club, Northwest Kansas Corngrowers, National Farmers Association, Colby Gun Club and was a Garst Seed dealer.
Survivors include his wife, Terri Crampton of Levant; daughters, Shelby and Jenna Crampton of Levant; parents, Kenneth and Kathleen Crampton of Colby; sisters, Karmel Carothers of Leawood, Kan., and Kendra Bernard of Centennial, Colo.
Funeral services will be Thursday, 10:30 a.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Colby with the Rev. Dana Clark officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Colby.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 9 a.m. - 8 p.m., at Harrison Chapel in Colby. Rosary will be Wednesday, 6:30 p.m., at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given in his name for his daughter's education fund and may be left at any Colby bank or the funeral home.
