OBERLIN -- Henrietta Ann Bremer, 80, died Friday (April 4, 2008) at Decatur County Hospital in Oberlin.
She was born Feb. 21, 1928, in Decatur County to Henry A. and Mabel (Ericson) Olson. She grew up on a farm in Sappa Township in Decatur County. She graduated from Decatur Community High School in 1946, and Colorado Women's College in Denver, Colo., in 1948.
On June 6, 1948, she married Fred W. Bremer in Oberlin. They lived on a farm in Custer Township south of Oberlin where she worked as a homemaker. They later moved to Oberlin.
She was a member of the Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred on March 7, 2008 and sisters, Dorothy and Hazelle.
Survivors include her nieces, Ginny and husband, Lowell Schneider of Walla Walla, Wash., Jan Kirk of Boulder, Colo., Phyllis Kirk of Palm Desert, Calif., Ann Cartensen of Portland, Ore., and Kay Jaz of Bellevue, Wash., and one aunt, Edla Olson of Oberlin.
Funeral services will be Saturday, 2 p.m., at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin with the Rev. Doug Hasty officiating. Interment will be in the Oberlin Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday 8 a.m. - 8 p.m., and Saturday from 8 a.m. until time of service.
Memorials may be given to Decatur Health Systems.
