Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Schnackenberg of Gothenburg announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Tara LeaAnn, to Jason Michael Lawless, son of Mr. Mike Lawless of McCook and Ms. Jeanne Janssen of Gothenburg.

The bride-to-be is a 2005 graduate of Gothenburg High School. She is attending the University of Nebraska Medical Center School of Nursing, where she will graduate with a Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing in December of 2009. She plans to pursue a Master Degree in nursing.

The prospective bridegroom is a 2006 graduate of Gothenburg High School. He will graduate in May from Mid Plains Community College with an Associates Degree in diesel technology. He is employed by Fairbanks International and Tim Maline Farms.

The couple is planning a June 28, 2008, ceremony at American Lutheran Church in Gothenburg.
