HUTCHINSON, Kan. -- Gary Paul Coker, 70, passed away March 20, 2008, at Hutchinson Hospital.
He was born Oct. 6, 1937, in Ness City, Kan., the son of Fred and Emma (Fercking) Coker.
A long time Hutchinson resident he was a retired construction worker. On Dec. 27, 1967, he married Margaret P. Barnett in Dighton, Kan., she survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Gary and Kelly both of Arizona; four daughters, Dorothy Aguilera of Chase, Kan., Rhonda Gillespie of Chase, Kan., Lynn Gessleman of Culbertson and Margie Barnes of Hutchinson; one brother, Wes Coker of Dighton; four sisters, Frona Nikkel of McPherson, Kan., Connie Wagoner of Ellis, Kan., Arlen Cline of Wakeeney, Kan., and Linda Chambers of California; 15 grandchildren, Todd, Brian, Kyle, Nathan, Austin, Justin, Quinton, Wyatt, Dylan, Natalie, Amanda, Brandi, Andria, Courtney and Michelle; three great-grandchildren, Koy, Dillon and Jozelyn.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Gayle Marie and Laura Rene; four brothers, Bill, Lavern, Tom and Terry; and three sisters, Henrietta, Freda and Irma.
Funeral services will be Monday, 2 p.m., at Westside Baptist Church in Hutchinson, with the Revs. Tim Adrian and Randy Barnett presiding with burial at Fairlawn Burial park following the service.
Visitation will be Sunday from 1-7 p.m., with family greeting friends from 5-6 p.m., at Heritage Funeral Home and Cremation services in Hutchinson.
