ELWOOD -- Aline Opal Beck, 87, died Tuesday (Feb. 26, 2008) at Elwood Care Center in Elwood.
She was born March 13, 1920, at Lexington to Warren and Gertrude (Mowry) Seaman. She grew up in the Lexington area and graduated from Lexington High School in 1937.
She married W. Art Beck on March 24, 1940, in Lexington. They moved to Elwood in 1953. She helped with the family business, Beck Implement. They later farmed northeast of Elwood.
Due to her health she moved to Elwood Care Center in January of 2008.
She was baptized at the United Methodist Church in Elwood on March 13, 1960. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Elwood. She served as a Cub Scout leader and Sunday school teacher.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, W. Art Beck; granddaughter, Theresa; and brother, Glen Seaman.
Survivors include her sons, Steve and wife Virginia Beck of Broken Bow, Jay and wife, Kathy Beck of Elwood and Gary Beck of Elwood; brothers-in-law, Harold Sorenson of Lexington and O.N. and wife, Janet Beck of Cozad; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be Saturday, 11 a.m., at United Methodist Church in Elwood with the Rev. Connie Karr officiating.
