OBERLIN -- Terrance "Terry" Harold Bridger, age 63, died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008, in Oberlin.

He was born May 29, 1944, in Ilion, N.Y., to Harold H. and Virginia I. (Shaul) Bridger. He attended school in Mohawk, N.Y.

He entered the U.S. Army in September of 1963, and was honorably discharged in September of 1969. Terry was a heavy equipment operator for the Nebraska Department of Roads for many years. After moving to Oberlin in 2004, he worked for Ampride Gas Station until his retirement.

He attended the Methodist Church while living in Mohawk. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and cooking in his free time.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Bridger.

He is survived by his significant other, Marilyn Farr of Oberlin; daughters, Erin Bridger of Rio Rancho, N.M., and Kelly Corona of Lake Forest, Calif.; father, Harold Bridger of Ilion, N.Y.; sister, Donna Shoendorf of Mohawk, N. Y.; niece, Lori Kline of Schenectady, N.Y.; grandchildren; and numerous friends.

Memorials may be given in his name.

A memorial service will be Friday, 3 p.m. at Carpenter Breland Chapel in McCook with Jerry Beckenhauer officiating. Inurnment will be at a later time.
