OMAHA -- Haley Piper and Ryan Haas, both of Omaha, were married Aug.11, 2007, at St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church in Omaha, with Rev. Jim Clifton officiating.

Parents of the couple are Jim and Kathleen Piper of Omaha and Raleigh and Kathy Haas of McCook.

Grandparents of the bride are Paul and Ida Piper of Mission, Texas. Grandparents of the bridegroom are Lucille Kopetzky and Audrey Dee, both of Columbus.

The bride's gown was designed by Travis Halsey, friend of the bride and a designer for the Houston Ballet.

Maid of honor was Stephanie Kidd of Omaha. Matron of honor was Angela Niedermyer of Austin, Texas. Bridesmaids were Katie Gleich of Yankton, S.D. and Minda Haas, sister of the bridegroom, of Lincoln.

Best men were the bridegroom's brothers, Brad Haas of Omaha and Jeff Haas of Lincoln.

Bridegroomsmen were Scott Burns of Lincoln and Alex Helmbrecht of Chadron.

The bride's personal attendant was Tera Schmidt of Yankton.

Ushers were Wes Piper, brother of the bride, of Omaha, Matt Haas, brother of the bridegroom, of McCook, Joe Bonge of Lincoln and Justin Wacker of Lincoln.

The organist was John DiGilio and soloists were Amie James and Ann Kunkel, all of Omaha.

The reception was at the Forte Banquet Center in Omaha. Serving as the host couple was Sheila and Scott Riggs of Egan, Minn.

The couple spent their honeymoom at Lake Tahoe.

The bride graduated from Yankton High School and from Creighton University. She works for RESPECT and Campfire USA doing educational plays in Nebraska and Iowa.

The bridegroom is a graduate of McCook Senior High and from the University of Nebraska-Omaha. He is employed as a civil engineer with the city of Omaha.

The couple resides in Omaha.
