Thelma Walker

LINDSBORG, Kan.-- Thelma Walker, 74, formerly of Oberlin, died Wednesday (Feb. 6, 2008) in Hutchinson.

She was born Aug. 27, 1933, in Jennings, Kan., to Marion C. and Rozella B. (Brown) Brock. She grew up in Jennings and graduated from Jennings High School.

She married Marvin L. Walker on April 25, 1953, in Jennings. She worked as a daycare provider.

She was a member of United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Rozella Brock; children, Sandra and Ricky Walker; and brothers, Harry and Marion.

Survivors include her husband, Marvin L. Walker of Lindsborg; son, Marvin C. Walker and wife, Kristi of Lindsborg; daughter, Sherri Walker of Lindsborg; daughter-in-law, Jacki Walker of Delphos, Kan.; sister-in-law, Lela Brock of Delphos; five grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Saturday, 3 p.m., at the Jennings Cemetery with the Rev. Tom Smith officiating.

Visitation is today until 8 p.m., with the family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m., and on Saturday from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m., at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin.

Memorials may be given in her name.
