OBERLIN -- Lila Mae Holsman, 69, died Monday (Jan. 4, 2008) at Decatur County Hospital.
She was born Nov. 20, 1938, to Chester and Grace (Larson) Withington, in Milliken, Colo. She grew up and attended school in Greeley, Colo., Herndon and Atwood.
On Dec. 6, 1953, she married Edwin Holsman Sr., in Atwood. She worked as a laundry supervisor at Decatur County Good Samaritan Center in Oberlin. She lived in Horton and Colby, Kan., Atwood and Oberlin.
She was a member of the United Church of Oberlin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Harlan, Harold and Melvin; sister, Hilda Chessmore; sisters-in-law, Irene and Judie Withington; brother-in-law, Royal Chessmore; step-grandson, Curtis Sporing.
Survivors include her husband, Edwin Sr., of Oberlin; sons, Edwin Holsman Jr., and wife, Kathy of Gem, Kan., and Kevin Holsman and wife, Tammy of Pinedale, Wyo.; daughter, Brenda Anderson of Bismark, N.D.; brothers, Irv and wife, Bonnie Withington of Wray, Colo., Marvin and Beverly Withington of Atwood, Laverne Withington of Atwood and Verlan and wife, Rhonda Withington of Belle, Mo.; sisters, Ivina and John Vandegriffe of Owensville, Mo., and Hazel Withington of Scott City, Kan.; four grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; and one step-great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be Friday, 10 a.m., at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin, with the Rev. Judi Stricker officiating. Interment will follow in the Oberlin Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday from 8 a.m.-8 p.m., and Friday from 8 a.m., until time of service at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
