Parents of the couple are Dr. Michael and Linda Nielsen of McCook and Wenyuan and Grangrong Zhang of Urumqi, China. The parents of the bridegroom were unable to attend and were represented by the bridegroom's sister, Zhutian Liu of South Bend, Ind.
Grandparents of the bride are Clara Hector of Humboldt and Richard and Dorothy Nielsen of McCook.
The maid of honor was Amy Stanley, sister of the bride, of Big Springs. The bridesmaid was Jessika Botruff of Lincoln.
Ronald Bahl of Lincoln served as the best man. Andrew Nielsen, brother of the bride, of Blaine, Minn., was the bridegroomsmen.
The flower girl was Caroline Stanley, niece of the bride, of Big Springs. The ring bearer was Nolan Liu, nephew of the bridegroom, of South Bend, Ind. Candlelighters were Christine Chonka of Denver, Colo., and Regina Chonka, of Littleton, Colo, both cousins of the bride.
Ushers were Kristopher Hector, cousin of the bride of Humboldt and Robert Stanley, brother-in-law of the bride, of Big Springs.
The organist was J. Gordon Christensen, PhD., of Imperial.
The bride's personal attendant was her cousin, Stephanie Chonka of Denver. The flowers were designed by the bride's aunt, Pam Hector of Humboldt.
A reception and dance followed at the Republican Valley Event Center in McCook. Assistants for the wedding and reception were Matthew and Angela Nielsen of McCook, Gary and Patricia Nielsen of McCook, Della Chonka of Littleton, Jenny Balch of Omaha and Laura Johnson of Duluth, Minn.
A reception for the couple was in Urumqi, China in December.
The bride received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Nursing in 2005. She works as a registered nurse at Methodist Hospital in Minneapolis, Minn.
The bridegroom received his Bachelor of Science degree from Zhejing University, Hangzhou, China and his Master of Science degree from the University of Nebraska in 2005. He is employed as a mechanical engineer for Parker Hannifin in Minneapolis.
After a honeymoon in Alaska, the couple is residing in Plymouth, Minn.
