Hastings College men blasted by No. 3 South Dakota

VERMILLION, S.D. -- The Hastings College men's basketball team was upended 95-48 by No. 3 University of South Dakota (NCAA II) Monday night at the Dakota Dome in Vermillion, S.D.

The Broncos were led by Bobby Kempf with 12 points, 3 rebounds and 3 blocks. Jason Zelasney, Kevin Prochaska and Scott Wissing each had 6 points on the night. Derrik Spooner led Hastings with 5 assists.

Hastings did not have the ball fall their way as they were 3-23 from behind the arc and 3-13 from the free throw line.

The Broncos are now 16-4 overall and remain 6-2 in the conference.

Hastings will attempt to get back on track as they host No. 2 Morningside College on Saturday at the Lynn Farrell Arena with tip-off set for 8 p.m.
