Mikayla Kuhlen and Chas Fritsche, both of Beatrice and formerly of McCook, announce their engagement and upcoming engagement.

Parents of the couple are Leon and Phyllis Kuhlen and Charles and Janet Fritsche, all of McCook.

The bride-to-be graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in family science and psychology from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. She works for the Beatrice State Development Center.

The prospective bridegroom graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in technology from the Oklahoma Panhandle State University and works for the Nebraska Public Power District/Sheldon Station.

A wedding is planned for March 29, 2008, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in McCook.
