ARVADA, Colo. -- Richard Brown Walker, 79, died Nov. 8, 2007, at Denver, Colo.
He was born Feb. 8, 1928 in Lebanon. to Emmett and Josie (Brown) Walker. He graduated from Lebanon High School in 1945.
He joined the U.S. Army and spent time stateside before leaving for Japan at the close of World War II.
He graduated from Kearney State College in 1952, earning a teachers degree. He taught at Ravenna and then moved to Denver in 1956 where he worked for IBM for 30 years before retiring.
He married Fausta Laidig of Danbury.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother's Donald Gene (died in infancy); Wallace E. Walker; sister Jean Meader; brother-in-laws Dale Meader and Lloyd Potthoff.
Survivors include his wife; daughters, Lane and Lori, brothers, Robert Walker and Leslie Walker; sisters, Burdene Kasson and Elvira Potthoff; and four grandchildren.
A celebration of his life took place Dec. 10, 2007, at West Minister Masonic Center in Denver with Phyllis Lewis presiding.
