NEBRASKA CITY -- Leonard Clayton Davis, 77, formerly of Stratton and Lincoln, died Monday (Dec. 17, 2007) at Golden Living Care Center in Nebraska City.

He was born Aug. 30, 1930, in Trenton to Melvin O. and Jennie E. (Cozad) Davis. He attended the School of Visually Handicapped. He was a gift shop owner, rug weaver and musician.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Mildred M. (Davis) Thompson and a nephew, Merlin E. Thomas.

Survivors include his sisters, Viola M. (Davis) Carl and Beulah E. (Davis) Hasty Beason, both of Nebraska City and three nephews.

Funeral services were today at Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City. Graveside interment services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m., at Rose Hill Cemetery at Stratton.

Memorials may be given to the Council of the Blind.
