Martha Ellen (Gugelman) Castor

CURTIS -- Martha Ellen (Gugelman) Castor, 99, died Dec. 10, 2007, at her home in Curtis.

She was born March 7, 1908, to Otto and LuEtta (Robinson) Gugelman near Orafino. She graduated from Orafino High School in 1925.

She married Glenn Castor on June 23, 1925. He preceded her in death in January 1999. She worked as the Postmaster in Stockville before retiring and moving to Denver, Colo. In 1998, she moved back to Curtis.

She was a member of the Rebecca's and the Grange. She was an honorary life time member of Arrowhead Meadows Golf course.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn, sons, Dale and Marvin "Punk" and daughter, Claudine Cole.

Survivors include her sons, Douglas and wife, Pat Castor of Curtis and Wayne and wife, Diane of Bloomfield, Colo.; son-in-law, Gene Cole of Curtis; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday, 10 a.m., at Congregational Church in Stockville with Raymond Durner officiating. Burial will be in Arbor Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday, 10 a.m. - 8 p.m., at Blase-Wetzel-Strauser Memorial Chapel in Curtis. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.blasestrauser.com.
