Carolyn Sue Roth, died Monday (Nov. 26, 2007) at her residence in Denver, Colo., at the age of 51.
She was born July 23, 1956, at McCook, the daughter of Rex and Joyce (Jordan) Remington. She grew up on the Remington family farm at Danbury, where she enjoyed riding horses and doing various jobs on the farm.
She was on the Beaver Valley High School volleyball team that won two State championships in 1973 and 1974 and graduated from Beaver Valley High School in 1974. She attended Kearney State College for two years where she also participated in volleyball.
In May 1976, Carolyn married Jim Roth and they moved to Colorado. After the marriage ended she worked in construction and was a rehabilitation counselor for young adults. She spent the remainder of her life in Colorado.
She enjoyed musical concerts, doing jewelry work and motorcycle riding in the Rocky Mountains.
She was preceded in death by an infant brother, Billy Joe Remington on Dec. 16, 1964.
She is survived by her daughters, Janelle Davis and husband, Ryan of McCook, Donna Pernack and companion, Jim of Bowie, Texas and Margie Evans and husband Scott of Indianola; four grandchildren, Taylor and Austin Davis and Raena and Leah Boyd; her parents, Rex and Joyce Remington of Danbury; one sister, Charlyce Schnell and husband, Dave of Lincoln; brothers, Don Remington and wife, Marilyn, Rich Remington and wife, Jacci and Robert Remington, all of Danbury; nieces; nephews; relatives; and friends.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m., Saturday at Herrmann Memorial Chapel in McCook, with the Rev. Jon Albrecht officiating. Inurnment will be in the Hamburg Cemetery at Lebanon.
Memorials may be given in her name and friends may sign her book at the funeral home on Friday during regular hours.
