ELLSWORTH, Kan. -- Lois B. McKinley, 94, formerly of Oberlin, died Friday (Nov. 30, 2007) at Ellsworth Good Samaritan Center.
She was born March 13, 1913, in Ellsworth County, Kan., to Charles and Eva (Salsbury) Wennihan. She grew up in Kanona, Kan., and attended Decatur County Schools.
She married Walter Vernon on June 30, 1932. She lived in Roosevelt Township in Decatur County. She moved to Oberlin after Walter's death. She married Carl McKinley on Feb. 3, 1972, in Wakeeney, Kan. They lived in Wakeeney. She worked as a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Eva Wennihan and husbands, Walter Vernon and Carl McKinley.
Survivors include her son, Dennis Vernon and wife, Jerridee of Kanopolis, Kan.; daughter-in-law, Nancy Vernon of St. Francis; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services were today at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin. Interment was in the Oberlin Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Golden Age Recreation Center.
