OBERLIN -- Elmoin W. Bailey, Sunday (Dec. 2, 2007) at Cedar Living Center in Oberlin.
He was born April 26, 1924, in Decatur County to Elvin and Mabel (Rohan) Bailey. He grew up in Kanona and Jennings, Kan., areas. He attended school in Kanona and Jennings, graduating from Jennings High School .
He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served during World War II. He married Marguerite Kennedy on March, 30, 1947, in Oberlin. He lived in the Jennings Community most of his life and worked as a farmer and rancher. He later moved to Oberlin.
He was a member of Jennings United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elvin and Mabel Bailey and brother, Francis Bailey.
Survivors include his wife, Marguerite of Oberlin; son, Michael and Vickie Bailey of Jennings; daughter, Marcia and husband, Ralph Henry of Grand Junction, Colo.; brother, Elwood and wife, Norine Bailey of Jennings; sister, Geraldine Packer of Norton, Kan.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday, 10:30 a.m., at Jennings United Methodist Church with the Rev. Carrie Buhler officiating. Interment will be in the Jennings Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 8 a.m.- 6 p.m., at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin and Wednesday 8 a.m. until time of service at the church.
Memorials may be given to the church or Cedar Living Center of Oberlin.
