Maxine E. Myers died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007, at Hillcrest Nursing Home. She was 86.
She was born on Sept. 6, 1921, in Republic, Kan., to Donald A. and Willetta (Larkins) Davidson. She graduated from high school in Byron in 1938.
She married Adair A. Myers on March 17, 1944, in McCook. To this union two daughters were born, Carla and Cathy. She worked at the Fox Theatre, Woolworth, and Montgomery Ward.
She was a member of McCook Christian Church.
She enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren. Her hobbies included collecting roosters and chickens.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Willetta; sister, Phyllis Hartman; two brothers, Glen and Gene Davidson.
She is survived by her daughters, Carla Winters and husband, Dick, and Cathy Heskett and husband, Mark all of McCook; four sisters, Atha Cassens of Superior, Ardeth Hansen of Hardy, Donna Jones of Clyde, Kan., and Barbara Hymas of Napa, Idaho; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be given in her name to McCook Christian Church.
Funeral services were at McCook Christian Church today with Pastor Clark Bates officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery.
