Kaylea Schauer of La Vista, formerly of McCook and Kenneth Day of La Vista announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.

Parents of the bride-to-be are the late Rueben Schauer and Roma Schauer. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Janece Field of Guilford, Maine and the late Sidney Day.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of McCook High School, McCook Community College and Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture at Curtis. She is employed with Professional Vet Products/American Animal Hospital Association Marketlink in product sales and services in Omaha.

The prospective bridegroom graduated from Portland Maine High School, and Belleuve University with a Bachelor of Arts and Masters. He works at mainframe at InfoUSA in Carter Lake, Iowa.

A private ceremony is planned in Papillion at a later date.
