LINCOLN -- JoAnn Lampman died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007, at Bryan LGH Hospital East in Lincoln at the age of 74.
She was born Sept. 7, 1933, in Trenton, the daughter of the late Fred and Freda (Andorka) Shaffer. She grew up in Trenton where she graduated from Trenton High School in 1951.
In 1950, she married John L. Lawritson. In 1960, she married Tom Flaig and then Dec. 31, 1966, married Douglas R. Lampman, Sr. They spent their married life in Palisade.
She was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers, Glenn "Bud," Royce "Bill," Robert "Brick," James "Jim," Freddy and Jackie; two sisters, Leona McCarthy and Louise Youngquist; her husband, Douglas R. Lampman and her son, Troy D. Lampman both in 1994; and grandsons, Todd Earl Dodge and Justin Lawritson.
She is survived by her daughter, Lana Jo and husband, Bruce Licht of Palisade; sons, John Lawritson and wife, Christine of Phoenix, Ariz., Tom Lawritson of Trenton, Eddie Flaig and wife, Dwana of Palisade and Douglas R. Lampman Jr., of Trenton; one brother, Dick Shaffer of Trenton; two sisters, Verdene Cantrall of Trenton and Mary and husband, Curt Williams of Sun City, Ariz.,; grandchildren, Mandy, Megan and Michael Lampman; Shawn, Cory, Chad and Katie Jo Flaig, Brad and Briana Licht, Taylor Lawritson and Ian Lampman.
JoAnn was born and raised in Trenton, the youngest of 12 children. She enjoyed the holidays, especially Christmas and Thanksgiving. She liked dancing and music. She enjoyed school sports where her children and later grandchildren participated.
JoAnn will be sadly missed by family and friends.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday at Congregational United Church of Christ in Trenton, with Rev. Fay Ann Blaylock officiating. Interment will be in the Trenton Cemetery.
Memorials may be given in her name and friends may call at Herrmann Funeral Home in Trenton from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.
