Tangeman, Wenburg wedding

ARAPAHOE -- Miss Jillian Leigh Tangeman and Dr. Chris Eugene Wenburg of Ord were united in marriage on July 6, 2007, at the First United Methodist Church in Arapahoe. The Revs. Michael Flurry and Doug Smith, uncle of the bridegroom, officiated.

Parents of the couple are Drs. John and Ingrid Tangeman of Arapahoe and Mr. and Mrs. Jim and Rogene Wenburg of Beaver City.

Honored guests included the bride's grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. Larry and Corinne Tangeman of O'Neill and the bridegroom's grandparents, Mrs. Phyllis Hansen of North Platte and Mr. and Mrs. Harold and ReNelda Wenburg of Cozad.

The bride was escorted by her father. She wore a strapless, organza, A-line gown with a bow back which included ribbon details on the waist and skirt trim. She wore an heirloom bracelet and carried two special handkerchiefs along with six large white calla lilies.

Jennifer Schutz, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor, while Caitlin Tangeman, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids wore strapless, black two-piece gowns with a silver side accent broach pinned at the waist. Each carried a single calla lily.

Dr. Justin Wenburg and Dr. Aaron Wenburg, brothers of the bridegroom, of Hastings, were best men. Ushers were Joel Schutz, brother-in-law of the bride, of Arapahoe, Brandon Crow, cousin of the bridegroom, of Omaha and Dr. Tyler Sexson, cousin of the bridegroom, of North Platte. The bridegroom, attendants, and ushers wore black tuxedos with lily boutonnieres.

Cooper Schutz, nephew of the bride and Carter Wenburg, nephew of the bridegroom, were ringbearers and both wore black tuxedos with miniature calla lily boutonnieres.

The mother of the bride and mother of the bridegroom were attired in black gowns and wore corsages with lilies and alstroemerias or Peruvian lilies.

Piano music during the service was provided by Mrs. Brenda Lambert, piano teacher of the bride, of Albion. Soloists were Caitlin Tangeman and Andrea Wenburg, sister-in- law of the bridegroom.

The Scripture readings, Song of Solomon 2:10-13; 8:6-7, and Romans 12:9-21 were read by Kili Wenburg, sister-in-law of the bridegroom. Andrea McClintic, served as guest book attendant and the bride's personal attendant. Greeters were Misti Crow and Dr. Emily Sexson, cousins of the bridegroom.

The luncheon reception was hosted by Dr. Kathryn Benzel and Mr. and Mrs. Wiley and Carolyn Wentling. Reception assistants were Margaret Herbert, Carol Wendland and Shirley Stagemeyer, all of Arapahoe.

The bride is a 2006 graduate of the University of Nebraska at Kearney with a Master's Degree in English. She presently owns her own graphic, publication, and web design business, Rural Designs, in Ord.

The bridegroom is a 2006 graduate of the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry. Following his completion of an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency in Kansas City, he now practices dentistry at Ord Cosmetic and Family Dentistry in Ord.

Following a honeymoon to San Francisco, Napa Valley, and Sonoma Valley, the couple has made their home in Ord.
