INDIANOLA?-- Jo Ann 'Jo' Evans, 29, died Wednesday (Nov. 7, 2007) at her home in Indianola.
She was born in Cambridge on April 12, 1978, to Harold and Charlene (Newberry) Banzhaf. She grew up in Indianola attending school and graduating from Republican Valley High School in 1997. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Indianola.
On July 3, 1999, she was united in marriage to Kim Evans at St. John's Catholic Church in Cambridge.
She was a member of the St. Catherine's parish.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Doran and Nellie Newberry, Paul and Velma Banzhaf and Hershal Evans.
She is survived by her husband, Kim; three sons, Jessie, Tracy and Bobbie, all at home in Indianola; her parents, Harold and Charlene Banzhaf of Indianola; three sisters, Charlotte and husband, Joseph Wardyn of Loup City, Annette and husband, Shayne O'Mara of Kearney and Sarah Banzhaf of Indianola; one brother, Kenneth and wife, Nikki Banzhaf of Indianola; parents-in-law, Kelly and Sharon Evans of Cambridge; two brothers-in-law, Kris and wife, Stephanie of Broken Bow and Kip and wife, Stacey of Alda; sister-in-law, Shelly and husband, Derek Clay of Broken Bow; one niece; and six nephews.
Mass of Christian burial will be Monday, 10:30 a.m., at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Indianola with the Revs. Thomas McGuire and Robert Barnhill officiating. Interment will be in St. Catherine's Catholic Cemetery in Indianola.
Rosary will be recited at the Lockenour-Jones Mortuary in Cambridge at 7:30 p.m., Sunday, with Rev. Thomas McGuire officiating.
Memorials may be left in her name at the mortuary.
