BARTLEY -- Harold E. Burke, 80, died Sunday (Oct. 28, 2007).

He was born Jan. 7, 1927, at Cambridge to August and Edith (Campbell) Burke and graduated from Bartley High School in 1944.

He joined the U.S. Army, serving during World War II and the Korean Occupation.

On June 12, 1949, he married Elnora Webb.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Thomas "Breezy" and wife, Alphadene and Darrell "Dimps" and wife, Donna.

Survivors include his wife, Elnora; his children, Vicki of Hibbin, Minn., Julia and husband, Maurice Renich of Halstead, Kan., Kenneth and wife, Kim of Valley Springs, Calif., and Janet and husband Noble Fisher of Lincoln; special daughter, Anna Van Tessel; and six grandchildren.

Services will be Wednesday, 10:30 a.m., at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Cambridge with the Rev. David Rowe officiating. Interment will be at the Bartley Cemetery with military honors by the Bartley Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.

Visitation is today until 8 p.m., and Tuesday, 9 a.m.-8 p.m.

Memorials may be directed to the Bartley Cemetery Fund or the Bartley Ambulance Fund.
