Kunimura, Pettit wedding

Jennifer and Tobin Pettit

KAILUA, Hawaii -- Jennifer Lyn Kunimura of Denver, Colo. and Tobin Derold Pettit of Salt Lake City, Utah, were united in marriage May 19, 2007, at the Launa Hills County Club with the Rev. Mak officiating.

Parents of the couple are Don and Jackie Kunimura of Kailua and Terry and Evelyn Pettit of Culbertson. Grandmother of the bride is Alberta Hussey of Kailua. The bridegroom's grandparents are LaVerne and Doris Neal of Tryon and Helen Pettit Mitchell of North Platte.

The bride was escorted to the alter by her father wearing a floor length, sleeveless, white satin gown adorned with sequins and pearls which fell into a long sequined train. Her hair was adorned with white orchids from which the veil fell. She carried a bouquet of white roses and soft blue hydrangeas.

Maid of honor was Christine Kunimura, sister of the bride, of Denver. Her dress was a sleeveless, floor length satin in soft blue. She carried a bouquet of white roses.

Todd Pettit, brother of the bridegroom, of North Platte, served as best man.

All the men in the wedding party wore taupe tuxes with soft blue ties and traditional Hawaiian leis.

Erin Buglewicz, niece of the bridegroom, of Omaha, was the flower girl. Her dress was white satin and organza embroidered tea length. She carried a basket of white rose petals trimmed with a soft blue ribbon.

Tristan Kunimura, nephew of the bride, of Tempe, Ariz., served as ring bearer, carrying a white pillow adorned with ribbon and lace.

Following the wedding ceremony, a buffet reception was held in the Maunawili Ballroom.

The couple spent their honeymoon on the islands of Maui and Hawaii.

The bride is a graduate of Kailua High School and is employed by Dillards. The bridegroom is a graduate of Culbertson High School and is a software engineer at the University Hospital in Salt Lake City.

The couple is making their home in Salt Lake City.
