Parents of the couple are Tim and Cathy Nelson of Omaha and Dann and Sue Nelms of Benkelman. Grandparents are John and Catherine Weiss and Dan and Marilyn Nelson, all of Omaha, Don and Shirley Nelms of McCook and Dick and Yvonna Hayes of Cambridge.
Michelle Nelson, sister of the bride, of Omaha, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kelli Nelms, North Platte, sister of the bridegroom, Megan Rowley, Lincoln, Lisa Schole, Lincoln and Beth Maricle, Columbia, Mo.
The bride’s personal attendant and wedding hairstylist was Kelsey Klein, Omaha, cousin of the bridegroom.
Rodney Lamb, of Anselmo, served as best man. The bridegroomsmen included Jesse Henry, brother of the bridegroom, of Stromsburg, Craig Nelms’ presence, Bruce Hasselbrook of Bellwood, Nathan Schole and Richard Wilson of Lincoln. Serving as ushers were Jeff Stittle of Lincoln, Bill Polhmeier of Davis, Calif., Lee Woltman of, Hemingford and Ken Simons, of Omaha.
Sisters of the bridegroom, Julie Nelms and Laura Nelms, and cousins of the bride, Miranda Weiss and Jaydn Weiss, all served as flower girls. Ring bearers for the ceremony were Mark Nelms, brother of the bridegroom and Delaney Weiss, goddaughter of the bride.
Musicians for the ceremony were Jan Malone of Lincoln as organist and playing the trumpet was Sharon Mills, Adams, aunt of the bridegroom. Scripture was read by aunt of the bride, Jeanne Hopkins of Omaha. Attending the guest book were Liz and Caitlin Hopkins, cousins of the bride of Omaha.
A reception followed the ceremony at the Bristo Ballroom with a supper and dance honoring the couple.
The couple is residing in Lincoln where the bride is a substitute teacher in the Lincoln Public School system and is employed at Avis Rentals. The bridegroom is assistant office manager for Great Plains Livestock Consulting, Inc. while finishing his bachelor’s degree in Animal Science at University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
