Bruce Robert Minghelli, 79, died Thursday (Oct. 18, 2007), at his home in McCook.
He was born March 9, 1928, in Los Angeles, Calif., to Alfonse and Inez (Maida) Minghelli. Bruce was raised in Baldwin Park, Calif. At age 14, he began working in the cement business with his father. He continued working as a masonry contractor until the age of 75.
After Bruce retired in November 2004 he moved to Nebraska to enjoy the hobby he loved most, hunting.
In 1994 Bruce was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. He was respected and loved by all in his congregation and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Bruce is survived by his wife of 24 years, Donna of McCook; and siblings Edward, Elizabeth, and Leonard all residing in California. His loving stepchildren are Kim Day Jacobs of Hawaii, Deborah King, Christy Spargo and husband Tim, Kimberly Lee and husband Kyle, and David of California. Step grandchildren include Autumn, Dennis, Jeff, Amanda, Christopher, Austin, Robert, Alona, and Gavin. Step-great-grandchildren include Alexis and McKenzie.
A memorial service will be at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2100 West J Street, McCook, at 7 p.m. on Monday.
