JULESBERG, Colo. --Ida "Lorene" Johnson Frick, 76, of Julesburg died Oct. 13, 2007, in Julesburg, Colo.
Funeral services will be Wednesday Oct. 17, 2007, at the United Methodist Church in Julesburg, at 10 a.m., with interment following at Hillside Cemetery in Julesburg. Visitation is today until 6 p.m., at Austin-Tennant Funeral Home in Julesburg.
Lorene was born May 17, 1931, to John and Pearl (McNew) Fitch in Stratton. She graduated from Sedgwick County High School in Julesburg and McCook Jr. College. She was a homemaker and part time school teacher.
Lorene married Robert Johnson Dec. 26, 1954. The two were married until Feb. 24, 2002. She then married Kenneth Frick July 19, 2003.
Lorene was a member of the UMW Christian Woman's Club, Church choirs, Master Chorale and Eastern Star. She enjoyed music and singing, was a volunteer at the welcome center, participated in the booster club, enjoyed watching grandchildren's sports, and helped with the Ash Hollow Pageant.
She is survived by husband, Ken Frick of Julesburg; sons, David Johnson of Bellevue, Idaho, Deryl Johnson and wife, Tish of Julesburg; daughters, Jolene Green and husband, Brad of Sterling, Colo., Suzanna Schott and husband, Jeff of Eaton, Colo.; stepdaughter, Robin Calvin and husband, Jerry of McCook; grandchildren, Dillon Green, Adam, Abigail and Lydia Schott, Michelle, Sarah and Brian Calvin; brother, Jack Fitch of Roswell, N.M.; sister, Betty Ernst of Greeley, Colo., and sister, Connie Fox of Rochester, Pa.
She was preceded in death by parents, John and Pearl Fitch, first husband, Robert Johnson and brother, Larry.
