YORK -- Carol J. Kmoch, 58, died Saturday (Oct. 6, 2007), in Lincoln.
She was born Oct. 20, 1948, to Harry and Allegra (Byrnes) Wedberg in Lincoln. She graduated from Lincoln Northeast High School and then obtained her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Education at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln.
On June 21, 1969, she married James W. Kmoch in Lincoln.
She taught for 15 years at St. Joseph's Catholic School and then became a broker for First Federal Bank, both in York. She was an artist in many mediums, specializing in glass jewelry. She was a member of the Burkholder Project in Lincoln.
She was a member of the PEO and a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in York.
She was preceded in death by her parents and in-laws.
Survivors include her husband Jim of York; two sons: Christopher and wife, Jana Kmoch of McCook, and Kevin Kmoch of Kansas City, Kan.; her sister-in-law: Joyce Kmoch of Sacramento, Calif.; and brother-in-law: Tom and wife, Sheila Kmoch of Leigh; and one grandson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in York with the Revs. Mark Tasler and Chacko Mathai officiating. Burial will follow in York's Greenwood Cemetery.
The rosary will be at 7 p.m., Wednesday at Metz Chapel in York.
Visitation will begin Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Metz Mortuary.
