Lubbers, Randa wedding

GRINNELL, Kan. --Bethyl Lubbers and Kyle Randa were united in marriage on June 16, 2007, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Grinnell, Kan., with the Rev. Felix Petrovsky officiating.

Parents of the couple are Joseph and Debbra Lubbers of McCook, Kelle Randa of Arnold, Kan., and the late Elmer "Joey" Randa. Grandparents of the couple are Jean and William Heier of Grinnell, Alma Lubbers of Grinnell, and Elmer and Angelita Randa of Ransom, Kan.

The bride was escorted to the altar by her parents. She wore a white, satin, A-line gown with lace embroidered cap sleeves, side draping, and beaded metallic embroidery on bodice and skirt ending in a chapel train. She carried a bouquet of red roses. She also carried a crystal rosary made and given to her by her grandmother. The bridegroom was escorted to the altar by his mother. He wore a black tuxedo with white vest and tie.

The maid of honor was Sarah Goyen of Kingman, Kan., cousin of the bride. Bridesmaids were Mandi Bellamy of Derby, Kan., and Justine Jones of McCook, cousin of the bride. They wore floor length ball gowns of 'apple' and carried a bouquet of white roses.

Scott Briand of Hays, Kan., was the best man. The bridegroomsmen were Patrick Lubbers of McCook, brother of the bride, and Curtis Randa of Arnold, brother of the bridegroom. The bridegroomsmen wore black tuxedos with silver vests and ties.

The flower girl was Grace Selley of Colby, Kan., cousin of the bride. The ring bearer was Caden Randa of Arnold, nephew of the bridegroom.

Jerri Williams of Winona, Kan., cousin of the bride, served as the reader. Seraphina Lubbers-Reyes of Irving, Tex., and Jessi Williams of Winona, both cousins of the bride, served as gift bearers. Heather Beougher of Grinnell, cousin of the bride, sang a solo while the grandparents were being seated. Music was provided by Kay Ostmeyer and Annette Ostmeyer, both of Grinnell. Tony Spilinek of McCook, served as Eucharistic Minister. Jon Spilinek of McCook and Devin Ballman of Grinnell, were the servers.

Guestbook attendants were Rachel Randa of Scranton, Kan., sister of the bridegroom, and Harmony Randa of Arnold, sister-in-law of the bridegroom. The host couple was Janette and Steve Beougher of Grinnell, aunt and uncle of the bride. Martin Selley of Colby, Kan., cousin of the bride, Wade Tillitson of Ransom, and Greg Curtis of Utica, Kan., served as ushers.

Following the ceremony a dinner, reception, and dance were held at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall in Grinnell.

Cake and punch servers were Dorena Goyen of Kingman, Sally Chase of Florence, Colo., both aunts of the bride, and Brenda Ridder of Leoti, Kan., cousin of the bridegroom.

Following a honeymoon in Manitou Springs, Colo., the couple is making their home in Arnold.
