Rotherham places 6th in Ogallala golf invite, Hager records a 97

OGALLALA -- Dundy County/Stratton's Megan Rotherham finished sixth in the Ogallala Invitational Monday with course score of 91.

McCook's golfers also competed at the West Wind golf club, finishing sixth in the team standings with a total score of 419. Dundy County/Stratton shot 616.

Scottsbluff won the tournament with a team score of 363. Perkins County followed in second with 375, Gering was third with 379, Sidney took fourth with 389 and Lexington rounded out the top five with 400.

Justine Hager led the Bison with a score of 43-54-97, just short of the top 10. Alex Trew finished 54-48-102 for the day for the Bison behind Hager and Shelby Allen had 50-5-105. Sydney Jumps followed with 57-58-115, Cori O'Dea had 61-68-129 and Becky Goodenberger had 66-69-135.

McKenzie O'Connell of Sydney won the individual title with 84 and Katie Meyer of Perkins County was second with an 87. Alex Schluter of Scottsbluff took third with an 87, Kristen Hamer of Gering was fourth with an 88 and Drew Isham was fifth with an 89 for Scottsbluff.

The Bison compete Saturday in Holdrege.
