LINCOLN -- Marvin E. Schoonover Sr., 80, of Lincoln, died Wednesday (Sept. 12, 2007) in Milford.

He was born Sept. 19, 1926, in Indianola, to Floyd and Rosa (Heinz) Schoonover.

He worked as a painter for J.J. Lape, before retiring. He served in the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Rosa and sister, Lois Ingram.

Survivors include his daughters, Shiela and husband, Gary Ibach of Lincoln, Delores Amory of Lincoln; Roxanna Hefner of Lincoln and Marlene Spradley of Aurora; sons, Marvin Jr., and wife, Annette and LeAlan and wife, Cindy, all of Lincoln; sisters, Ilene Tomlin of Osceola and Carolyn Harding of Paramount, Calif.; brothers, Don Schoonover of Apple Valley, Calif., and Robert Schoonover of Osceola; 19 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be Saturday, 9 a.m., at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S. 14th, Street in Lincoln. Interment will be Lincoln Memorial Park.

Visitation will be Friday, noon- 8 p.m., with the family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m., at the funeral home. Online condolences can be left at www.lincolnfh.com.

Memorials may be given in care of the family.
