ST. FRANCIS?-- Jerdene Bruce Barnhart, 76, died Saturday (Aug. 25, 2007) at Swedish Hospital in Englewood, Colo.

He was born Aug. 21, 1931, in Cheyenne County. He married Barbara Clouse and worked as a farmer-rancher.

He was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Barnhart in 1980 and grandson, Cole Barnhart in 1996.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara of St. Francis; sons, Delbert and Doug, both of St. Francis, Daryl of McCook and Donald of Thornton, Colo.; daughter, Debbie Blakeman of Merna; brother, Jim Barnhart of St. Francis; half-brother, Maurice Barnhart of St. Francis; sisters, Manota Daniels of Trenton, Macalene Olson of McDonald, Kan., Willa?Scott of Gonzales, La., and Wilma Petsch of Guide Rock; 17 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, 10:30 a.m., at First Baptist Church in St. Francis.Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Cheyenne County EMTs of St. Francis.
