BENKELMAN -- Jim was called home on Aug. 6, 2007, he was born June 29, 1931, in Palisade to Lester and Viola (Sailors) Elliot. Jim, his mother, Vi and brother, Jack moved to Benkelman in 1939. In 1956, he and his family moved to Denver, Colo.

Jim married Anna Miller in 1972, and they moved to Granby, Colo., in 1980. After his retirement from Grand County Colorado Road and Bridge in 1991, they returned to Benkelman.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jack.

Jim is survived by his wife, Anna; the boys, Gus and Max; son, Larry and family of Denver; daughter, Linda and family of Thornton, Colo.; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration reception will be Saturday from 3-5 p.m., (MT) at Rainbow Fountain in Benkelman.

Forch Funeral Chapel of Benkelman is in charge of arrangements.
